She/Her
I am a doula for many reasons– I have always been fascinated by the human body and its amazing abilities, especially the ability to create and sustain new life. I am also drawn to doula work because of my fundamental belief that everyone has a right to bodily autonomy, dignity, and safety. Bringing a new life into this world is a sacred, intimate moment- it deserves to be protected and treated with the utmost respect and care. My doula practice is grounded in reproductive justice, trauma-informed care, equity, and community. I believe that the way we bring children into this world has immense ripple effects- across families and communities and generations.
My goal in supporting your labor is to create space for questions and curiosities, provide uninterrupted emotional care and physical support, and encourage participation in decision-making so that you feel included and involved in your labor and delivery every step of the way. Ultimately, I want you to know that you have choices, and that my role as a doula is to support you in whatever decisions you make. I bring with me empathy, compassion, creativity, a sense of humor, and an open-mind. You deserve to have a birth experience that feels authentic, grounded, safe, and joyful, and I would be honored to be part of it.
